EQUIPMENT

The Exchange’s equipment has been carefully selected over many years of listening tests. It is also home to some very exclusive pieces of equipment which adds to the exchanges uniquely posh sound. The mains is highly conditioned and closely monitored. All equipment is connected via pure silver cables and specialised connectors. All equipment is maintained regularly and rigorously to ensure no artefacts of the original program are lost, only enhanced.

EMI TRANSFER CONSOLE

The exchange houses the worlds only known of, pre TG series, EMI TRANSFER CONSOLE. Once again, this console is wildly different to EMI’s later transistorised equipment. This console came from Pathe Marconi in Paris which was bought out by Island Records for their in-house mastering facility, “The Sound Clinic”. After the Sound Clinic shut and the exchange was formed, the console naturally went there.
