We accept all file formats and 1/4’’ tape. Please ask if you have another program source.

Vinyl Disc Mastering

The Exchange is world renowned for its first class disc cutting.

The Exchange has the facilities to cut discs at all speeds (16 2/3, 33 1/3, 45 and 78rpm and at all diameters.

We can do inside-out cutting. This is where the disc plays starts at the inside and plays to out outside.

We can also accommodate half speed mastering.

Our cutting equipment is fully in-house customised for better performance of frequency response, dynamics, resolution and noise.

MASTERED FOR ITUNES

The Exchange is officially a registered mastered For iTunes file author.

Apple’s mastered For iTunes standard requires that masters be assessed through specialised software created by Apple to ensure that masters do not clip having been encoded and decoded by the MFiT codec. This helps to ensure a less distorted audio file reaches the listener.
MFiT also supports extended sample and bit rates, and is intended as a higher resolution listening format.

Only Apple approved suppliers can supply MFiT masters, of which we are one.
